The Lider Cluj LAG Association is a public-private partnership that uses a “bottom-up” approach to contribute to the socio-economic development of its territory. Thus, the LAG devises a development strategy, based on the needs identified in the territory where it operates. It then implements this strategy by launching funding measures, in line with established objectives and priorities, but also in line with EU regulations. (Legal) persons wishing to make an investment in the territory through these measures can compete for non-reimbursable financing.
The territory targeted by the GAL LIDER CLUJ Association covers a radius of 9 communes in Cluj County – Aiton, Ciurila, Iara, Valea Ierii, Petreștii de Jos, Feleacu, Ploscoș, Tureni, Băișoara.
Since 2011, the Lider Cluj Local Action Group addresses the needs and capitalizes on the resources of all relevant sectors within nine communes located on the outskirts of Cluj-Napoca. Our goal is the sustainable development of the rural environment. Our mechanism is to fund small-scale projects and grassroots initiatives that are both innovative and sustainable, developing the capacity for a resilient future.
